Fillmore Merchants Host Shop OUT Day August 26 to Benefit SF LGBT Ctr.
On Saturday August 26, 2017, the San Francisco Fillmore Merchants Association will host the second annual Shop OUT Day, a day-long fundraising event to benefit the SF LGBT Center

Ten percent of all sales on that day at participating stores will fund critical services for the LGBTQ
community. The day-long event is also a chance for merchants to recognize and celebrate rich history of the LGBTQ community in San Francisco while giving back to those most in need.

Shop OUT Day started in 2016 as an evening event during Pride. This year, it has been extended to a full day and 19 neighborhood merchants, including: Alexis Bittar, Atelier Cologne, Eileen Fisher, Fitness SF, Gallery of Jewels, Gotherx, Hi Ho Silver, Invision Optometry, Jigsaw Lo
ndon, Jonathan Adler, Lilith, Margaret O'Leary, Renaissance Salon SF, Space NK, Spice Ace, Superga, Toujours Lingerie, Wine Jar, and Zinc Details.

Eileen Fisher is proud to support the essential programs provided by the SF LGBT Center. The
beneficiaries of their programs include us all; they are our family members, our lovers, and our friends, said Liz Brooking, the Elieen Fisher Store Leader.  We hope that Shop OUT Day sends a warm and welcoming message to this vital and vibrant part of our community.

As the executive director of the Fillmore Merchants Association and a small business owner myself, I'm super excited to highlight our vibrant community of merchants to the LGBTQ community. We want to support and highlight the great work that the Center is doing for SF", said Vas Kiniris, owner of Zinc Details.

The LGBT Center's efforts are not only important to SF but a shining beacon for the rest of the
world!", SF LGBT Center Associate Director of Development Dani Siragusa added. "We are thrilled to see such an amazing group of local merchants recognize our work. The programs and services that the Center provides support thousands of LGBTQ people, including youth,
transgender people, and the most vulnerable members of our community.

Shoppers visiting participating stores will also have a chance to learn about Center programs. Staff will be available at the event discuss Center services and how community members can
become involved.
